A permit from the ELY Centre is required for road use in special situations. The permit can be applied for by submitting a written free-form application to the ELY Centre for Pirkanmaa. The application can be sent by e-mail or post.

The application must provide the name and time of the event, map of increased traffic in the road sections, the road/municipality, estimated number of event participants, organiser information, contact information for the contact person, invoicing address and the applicant’s business ID or personal identity code.

If the event requires the closure of the road (e.g. rally events or other races involving motor vehicles), a permit must be applied for with the police.
